“During the talks with John Bolton [held on August 29], President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko outlined a well-known position on the situation in Ukraine and our suggestions on how this conflict could be settled. The Belarusian side believes that there must, of course, be a genuine interest in the parties involved. When arguing over whether the United States should join the formed of conflict settlement, the main thing is to resolve the conflict,” Makei said.

The Foreign Minister of Belarus also stressed: “If the participation of the United States or other countries could accelerate this process [conflict settlement], then who is against it? I think everyone will agree with that. "

Makei also noted that Lukashenko paid special attention to this issue during the talks. The president of Belarus has stressed that Belarus has done and will do everything in its power so that this conflict could be settled.
