Shooting in Israel: One person killed, five others injured

In the central part of Israel today, one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of a shooting.

According to Ukrinform, Reuters reported this in an article.

"A 35-year-old man was killed and five others injured in a series ​of shootings on Sunday in central Israel near the ‌occupied West Bank," the report said.

It was noted that the shooting took place in three separate areas in central Israel, near the Palestinian city of Qalqilya in the West Bank.

"Large police forces remain at the scene, ​and searches are continuing," police said.

Local media identified the 35-year-old victim as an Israeli citizen.

The Israeli emergency service said the man died from gunshot wounds.

As Ukrinform previously reported, six people were killed in a shooting in the U.S. state of Iowa, which was likely the result of a domestic dispute.
