Zelensky thanks Tusk for initiative to invite Ukraine to next G7 summit

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk on August 29, the president’s press service has reported.
The parties discussed the course and the key results of the G7 summit held in Biarritz (France) on August 24-26.
The Ukrainian president commended the position of the G7 summit participants as regards the impossibility of Russia’s return to the G7.
Zelensky also thanked Tusk for his personal active position during the discussion of the Ukrainian issue at the summit, in particular, for his initiative to invite our country to participate in the next G7 summit in the United States in 2020.
In turn, Tusk assured of the EU’s unwavering position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
