Deputy Foreign Minister Zerkal: Ratko Mladic verdict proves perpetrators of war crimes in Donbas and Crimea will be punished

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olena Zerkal believes that verdict in the Ratko Mladic’s trial proves that perpetrators of war crimes in Donbas and Crimea will be eventually punished as well.
"This week is special for thousands of families affected by war crimes committed by Ratko Mladic. The verdict in his trial has been delivered in The Hague. The international courts have proved, though slowly, that they can punish for war crimes. It means that those aggressors who committed [war crimes] in Crimea and Donbas will be punished as well," Zerkal wrote on Facebook.
November 22, Former Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic was jailed for life for genocide and other atrocities in the 1990s Bosnian war. The UN tribunal in The Hague convicted him on 10 of the 11 charges.
