"On August 24, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will hold talks with U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis, who will visit Kyiv to participate in celebrations on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day," the report reads.
According to the Presidential Administration, the first visit of the U.S. Secretary of Defense to Ukraine for the last ten years will take place according to preliminary agreements with the American side reached during the visit of President Poroshenko to the U.S. in June this year.
