President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

“This is a historic meeting in the relations between our states, for there have been no contacts at the highest level before. This should become a stimulus for the intensification of our bilateral relations,” the President emphasized.

Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude for the principled position of Liechtenstein in response to Russia’s violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, including the accession to the EU sanctions and support for the respective resolutions in the framework of the UN.

The parties discussed ways to intensify trade-economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein informed that his country would introduce the visa-free regime with Ukraine immediately after the adoption of the same decision by the EU.
