Court suspends broadcast of RTR, First Channel, Russia 24, NTV in Ukraine

KYIV, March 26 /Ukrinform/. Kyiv District Administrative Court on March 25 ruled to suspend the broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Ukraine, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) Viktoria Siumar said at a press briefing in the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.

"Today [March 25 - ed.] Kyiv District Administrative Court issued a decision to suspended broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Ukraine during the pendency of the claim of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting to the main broadcaster of these channels," Siumar said.

She added that it is about the following Russian TV channels: RTR, First Channel, NTV and Russia 24.

The official also informed that on March 26 the NSDC will provide an explanation for cable operators to implement the court's decision.
