Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his address, recorded from Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, had a significant impact on international partners, including the United States.

He made the remarks while responding to questions about whether partners had seen his address from Kupiansk, whether they understood that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was lying about the current situation on the front, and whether the address had influenced negotiations, Ukrinform reports.

"It [the address] had a very strong impact on both the Americans and the Europeans. Everyone highly appreciated it – both our soldiers and the fact that I was there personally. It put an end to the narrative that Putin is again lying about new occupied territories, and it influenced my conversations with the Americans. It also had a very strong impact on discussions with the Europeans," Zelensky said.
