Zakharchenko calls on activists to stop confrontation
This is said in the Interior Ministry's statement, spread Thursday, Ukrinform reports.
“As a minister, I cannot remain indifferent to what is happening. People die both from one and another side, there are hundreds of the injured,” Zakharchenko said.
He said that a captain of Internal Forces of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine, 30-year Dmytro Donets died at 5:00 a.m. today.
“These are the consequences of that daily tension in the confrontation in Hrushevskoho Street, where Dmytro was policing. I address those, who strive to power by a price of the human life. Awake! Citizens of one country are on both sides of the barricades,” a statement stresses.
The Minister offered condolences to the relatives of the died officer, having promised that the Interior Ministry will not leave them alone with disaster, like other relatives of died and wounded law enforcers.
