In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops have resumed active assault operations and are attempting to advance toward Zaporizhzhia.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated on television by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.

“The Russians have resumed active assaults in the Orikhiv sector, because we previously recorded three to five here, but over the past day, eight have been recorded,” Voloshyn said.

He stated that the enemy has intensified its activity near Stepnohirsk and near the settlements of Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky.

“Here, they are attempting to break through in a northern area, seize control of certain footholds closer to Zaporizhzhia, to keep our logistics under fire control and strike the regional center when the opportunity arises,” the spokesperson noted.
