Emergency power cuts implemented in several regions — Ukrenergo

“Due to the consequences of previous shelling, emergency power cuts have been implemented in several regions this morning. The previously announced hourly power cut schedules by regional power companies are currently not in effect. Emergency power cuts will be canceled as soon as the situation in the power system stabilizes,” the statement said.

Additionally, on Tuesday, measures were introduced to restrict electricity consumption for both industrial and domestic customers throughout Ukraine.

Due to new Russian strikes, users in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions are without power as of this morning. Since Monday, most of Slavutych, which is administratively part of the Kyiv region, has been without electricity. Repair work is underway wherever security conditions currently allow.

As of 9:30 a.m., electricity consumption is 2.7% lower than the previous day, due to an increase in power outages. "All regions of Ukraine still need to save energy today. Please limit your use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours after 11:00 p.m.," Ukrenergo advises.

As reported, the town of Slavutych was utterly cut off from electricity on January 5 due to the consequences of the Russian attack.
