Retail deposits in Ukraine’s banking sector exceed UAH 1.48T as of Aug 1

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Deposit Guarantee Fund, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As of August 1, 2025, the amount of hryvnia-denominated retail deposits came to UAH 959.7 billion (-UAH 0.2 billion during July 2025), foreign currency denominated retail deposits – UAH 522.9 billion (+UAH 4.2 billion).

The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors reached 3.2% as of August 1, 2025. The total amount of their deposits came to UAH 167.7 billion, which is 11.3% of the total deposits.

As of August 1, 2025, a total of 60 banks were members of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

A reminder that, in the first half of 2025, the amount of retail deposits in the banks operating in Ukraine increased by UAH 86.4 billion.
