Zelensky: 100M t of cargo transported via Ukraine’s maritime corridor

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on social media, Ukrinform reports.

“Ukraine’s maritime corridor remains operational despite all the challenges of war and Russia’s constant attacks on our ports. Over the past one and a half years, 100 million tons of cargo have been transported through the corridor. Ukrainian exports have reached 53 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas,” he noted.

According to Zelensky, this result is felt not only in Ukraine, but also in the respective countries that consume our food products.

“As Ukraine defends itself in this war, it also contributes to global food security through the operation of the maritime corridor. The resilience of our maritime sector is not just about the economy – it is about defending humanity,” he stressed.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone who made this result possible – “first and foremost our warriors, who restored free navigation and expelled the Russian military fleet.”

As Ukrinform reported, in 2024, Ukrainian ports achieved a record cargo turnover of 97.2 million tonnes, with 76.4 million tonnes of cargo exported via the Ukrainian maritime corridor to 52 countries.
