Ukraine’s Monobank targeted in another massive DDoS attack

Ukrinform
On Sunday evening, Ukraine’s major online banking service, Monobank, faced another major DDoS attack after another such disruption was tackled on January 19.

That’s according to Monobank’s co-founder Oleg Gorokhovskyi, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“I think that today Monobank is one of the most attacked IT targets in our country. DDoS attacks come just non-stop. An attack with a total load of 580 million service requests has just ended. It's just out of this world,” he wrote.

He expressed gratitude to the bank’s IT team for looking after its IT infrastructure.

“While I was writing this, a new wave began ... We keep standing!” Gorokhovskyi wrote.

Despite the ongoing attack, no service disruptions occurred, the co-founder stressed in a separate posting.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on January 19, Monobank was subjected to a major DDoS attack, which was eventually repelled.
