China to open new markets for Ukrainian agricultural products

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection cooperates with the competent authorities of the People's Republic of China to expand markets for Ukrainian agricultural products.

According to Ukrinform, the State Service reported this.

On April 11, 2023, an online meeting was held between Chinese representatives, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, and the Embassy of Ukraine in China. It resulted in a number of agreements on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

In the near future, PRC's competent authority will decide on exports of Ukrainian peas and pet food.

It is also planned to conduct an online inspection of Ukrainian vessels as part of the work on opening the Chinese market for the export of wild-caught fish products from Ukraine.

The parties discussed exports of other products from Ukraine to China, including flour, wheat, sorghum, poultry, feed for animals (premixes), etc. Work in this area continues.

To date, exports of milk, dairy products, frozen beef, and antelopes from Ukraine to China have been approved.

As Ukrinform reported, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection is working to open more than 27 new international markets for Ukrainian goods.
