Ukraine’s real GDP down by 29.1% last year - stats agency

The real gross domestic product of Ukraine over the year 2022 decreased by 29.1%.

The operational data was released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

As the table shows, in 2022, the gross domestic product decreased by 29.1%.

The State Statistics Service recalled that Ukraine’s real GDP in the fourth quarter of 2022 dropped by 31.4% against the same period in 2021.

As reported earlier, referring to the estimates provided by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the fall in GDP in February 2023 stands at 26% (±2%), in January – at 32% (±2%). Previously, the Ministry of Economy estimated the GDP drop over 2022 at the level of 30.4% (±2%).
