Ukrainian agricultural producers need about UAH 40 billion to carry out the spring sowing campaign.
The relevant statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denys Marchuk during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
Marchuk mentioned that Ukrainian farmers would need significant financing, i.e. about UAH 40 billion, to carry out the spring sowing campaign. Thus, it is important to extend the government program ‘Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%’ for agricultural producers this year.
According to Marchuk, without sufficient financing, Ukrainian agricultural producers will be unable to purchase fertilizers, crop seeds, fuel and plant protection agents.
Additionally, it is important to raise the maximum loan amount per legal entity to UAH 180 million, Marchuk noted.
