Three Belarusian banks disconnected from SWIFT

On March 20, three large Belarusian banks were disconnected from the SWIFT international payment system SWIFT.

These are Belagroprombank, Belarus Development Bank, and Dabrabyt Bank, according to Naviny.by, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that from now on, bank cards of the said institutions can no longer be used to complete transactions in the European Union.

Earlier, on March 10, Belagroprombank announced it would continue to operate "as usual" despite a temporary disconnection from SWIFT.

On March 11, the Belarus Development Bank called the disconnection from SWIFT a "temporary" measure, announcing its intention to use alternative financial information transmission systems.
