Government borrowings to state budget’s general fund amounted to UAH 257.8B in H1 2021

In January-June 2021, government borrowings to the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 257.8 billion, which is 76.6% of the target for this period, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Finance Ministry.
“Actual government borrowings to the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 257.8 billion in January-June 2021, or 76.6% of the target for this period,” reads the report.
A total of UAH 211.4 billion was raised from the placement of domestic loan bonds, including UAH 59.7 billion in foreign currency (USD 1.7 billion and EUR 409.9 million). UAH 46.4 billion was attracted from external sources.
At the same time, UAH 231.0 billion was paid to repay public debt (100.0% of the target) and UAH 74.0 billion was paid to service public debt (94.5% of the target).
As Ukrinform reported, the actual state borrowings to the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 621.5 billion in 2020, or 93.8% of the target for this period.
