Construction of new customs checkpoints on the border and reconstruction of old ones will allow solving the issue of separate corridors for the passage of authorized economic operators (AEO).

Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko said this at a press conference entitled "European Customs: First AEO Certificate in Ukraine" on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"This week we adopted an action plan for the arrangement of customs for 2021-2023, which will resolve the issues of separate corridors for the passage of authorized economic operators. This is, in fact, a green corridor for the movement of goods," Marchenko said.

As Ukrinform reported, on March 24, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree "On Approving an Action Plan for the Arrangement of Priority Checkpoints for 2021-2023," which, in particular, provides for the reconstruction, modernization and technical re-equipment of 25 existing checkpoints and the construction of 10 new ones, including those on the western border.
