Experts forecast dollar exchange rate growth this week

“This week we expect the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia will grow. The dollar on the interbank market may be traded at about UAH 28.2 in a week, and the cash dollar in banks may be traded at about UAH 28.0/28.3,” reads the report.

Over the past week, the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia grew by 0.3-1.1% in various segments of the foreign exchange market, according to Alpari.

Since last Monday, the U.S. dollar exchange rate set by the NBU has grown from UAH 27.77 to UAH 27.84 (+0.3%).

According to UkrDealing, over the reporting period, demand/supply of the dollar on the interbank market grew from UAH 27.64/27.66 to UAH 27.94/27.96 (+1.1%). Average purchase/sale rates of the cash dollar in banks rose from 27.64/27.86 to 27.82/28.07 (+0.7%/+0.8%) over the past week.
