He said this at a parliament’s meeting dedicated to the consideration of land market bills on Wednesday, November 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to the minister, about one million hectares of agricultural land plots are currently in municipal ownership and united territorial communities should receive the right to fair income from these land plots.
“Territorial communities, which receive more powers within decentralization reform, should get fair income from renting or selling property. Territorial communities should have a tool to promote business activities among residents through the access to territorial community’s land. Also, we should transfer 8.2 million hectares of agricultural land owned by communities to effective farmers,” the minister said.
A reminder that the Verkhovna Rada today is considering bills on the turnover of farming land.
