Ukrenergo: Power outages reported in two regions due to new attacks
According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"As a result of enemy attacks on the energy infrastructure of frontline regions, there are new power outages in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions as of this morning. Emergency repair work has already begun wherever safety conditions currently allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all users as quickly as possible," the statement reads.
It is also noted that as of 9:30 a.m. on Friday, electricity consumption is 1.7% lower than yesterday. The downward trend in consumption is due to warmer temperatures in all regions and clear weather across most of Ukraine.
The power system operator also urges Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly.
"Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift peak electricity consumption to the period when solar power plants operate most efficiently—from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please use electricity sparingly and avoid turning on several high-power electrical appliances simultaneously in the evening hours—from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.," Ukrenergo notes.
As reported, no power outages are scheduled for Friday, March 27.
