Average wage in Ukraine exceeds 2.4 times minimum wage – State Statistics Service

In August 2018, the average salary in Ukraine amounted to UAH 8,977, which is 2.4 times more than the minimum wage of UAH 3,723 established by law.

The Government portal reported this with reference to data of the State Statistics Service.

"The average salary in Ukraine in August amounted to UAH 8,977, which is 2.4 fold against the fixed by law minimum wage worth UAH 3,723. According to data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the growth of real wages (August 2017 - August 2018) amounted to 15.7%," the report reads.

The indicators of income and savings of the population have also grown. Thus, in the second quarter of 2018, the growth of savings amounted to UAH 13 billion (revenues – UAH 758.6 billion). Available income per person made up UAH 13,178.5.
