Russian forces strike Chuhuiv this morning, resulting in two dead
According to Ukrinform, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram.
“On April 28, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Russian forces carried out a strike using an unmanned aerial vehicle, preliminarily identified as a V2U, on the city of Chuhuiv. A 70-year-old man was killed in the attack. Another resident was wounded. He was hospitalized in critical condition,” the post stated.
Later, the prosecutor’s office reported that the injured man had died in a hospital. According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the man was 74 years old.
According to the investigation, the UAV struck the ground near a residential area. Private homes and cars were damaged.
According to Chuhuiv Mayor Halyna Minaeva, the Russians first struck with three drones, then with another.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported by Ukrinform, on April 21, the Russian army launched drone strikes on settlements in the Chuhuiv community in the Kharkiv region.
