Naftogaz increases bid price for purchase of natural gas from private Ukrainian companies

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine plans to purchase natural gas from private Ukrainian gas producers at the price of UAH 8,209.00 per a thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT) in August 2018, which is UAH 121 more than the previously announced price for August, the company’s press service reports.
"Taking into account the offers of market participants, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine increases the bid price for the purchase of natural gas of own production from private domestic gas producers in August from UAH 8,088.00 to UAH 8,209.00 per a thousand cubic meters (without VAT)," the report said.
In July, Naftogaz announced a test purchase of natural gas at the price of UAH 7,629.00 per a thousand cubic meters (without VAT), in June - UAH 6,900.00 per a thousand cubic meters (without VAT). Taking into account that the demand for natural gas is traditionally low during the summer season, Naftogaz has not received a single offer from natural gas suppliers. Therefore, the company has increased the bid price for August.
