Chinese investors interested in building a waste recycling plant in Lviv region

Two Chinese state-run companies are ready to represent projects on the construction of a waste recycling plant in Lviv region.

This issue was discussed during a meeting of Lviv Regional State Administration Chairman Oleh Syniutka with Advisor on Trade and Economic Issues at the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine Liu Jun, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“There is a diverse range of interest from the side of Chinese investors in cooperation with Lviv region. Apart from the construction a solid waste treatment plant, they are interested in building roads, thermal power plants, modernizing mines, as well as investing in the agriculture sector,” Syniutka said.

According to him, the Chinese market intends to receive food stuffs from Ukraine, in particular sunflower oil and meat.

In addition, during the meeting the parties discussed the development of air communication of Chinese cities with Lviv so that to increase the tourist flow.
