At least one European low-cost airline will enter Ukrainian aviation market next year.

This was stated by Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian, liga.net website reports.

"We are now working to see low-cost airlines entering the Ukrainian aviation market next year.  We are somewhat hampered by lack of open skies agreement with the European Union. I hope that this will not be a major obstacle," Omelian said.

According to the Minister, at least one European company will soon come to Ukraine.

"One airport will surely welcome a very famous European low-cost airline. I'd really like to have not one, but several of them," he said.

"We have such plans, the negotiations are ongoing. However, it should be understood that it takes nearly a year for the company to enter the market since the start of negotiations. That is why, we expect it in the second half of 2017," the Minister summed up.
