Ukraine, Romania initial local border traffic deal
KYIV, April 2 /Ukrinform/. Ukraine and Romania have initialed an intergovernmental agreement on local border traffic, the Mission of Ukraine to NATO told Ukrinform on Wednesday.
"During a meeting as part NATO ministerial activities acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia and Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean initialed a local border traffic agreement between the two governments. The document, in particular, provides for visa-free movement of residents of border regions of Ukraine and Romania," reads a report.
Negotiations on the agreement have lasted more than five years. Ukraine had earlier concluded such agreements with all other EU neighboring countries, namely Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
