Ukraine will complete the process of accession to the pan-Euro-Mediterranean Convention (PEM Convention) by the end of May 2017.

Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister, Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska said this during the conference "Ukraine and Lithuania: Investment and business opportunities" on April 20, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are already completing the process of accession to the pan-Euro-Mediterranean Convention. This Convention works well for joint projects and attracting the companies to the value chain. The PEM Convention stipulates that, for example, the raw materials or the spare parts produced in Ukraine, which are later used in the European Union to create a finished product and, vice versa, the European spare parts and raw materials that are used for manufacturing in Ukraine, are considered within the framework of the Convention as the goods produced in the country of origin for the exports to third countries, which are members of the Convention," Mykolska said.
