Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk agrees on full ceasefire from April 1

The Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the settlement of the situation in Donbas at its meeting on March 29 agreed that a full ceasefire must be ensured during Easter holidays, starting from April 1. 

Darka Olifer, Press Secretary of Ukraine’s representative in the Group Leonid Kuchma, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday evening,

“On the eve of the Easter holidays, the Trilateral Contact Group has welcomed the determination of all the participants in the Minsk process to ensure full compliance with the ceasefire, which will come into force on April 1, 2017," Olifer wrote.

She also added that the work of checkpoints for crossing the contact line in the morning and in the evening is planned to be extended.
