Defense forces repel one of Russia’s largest assaults in Sloviansk sector
The battalion reported this on Telegram, releasing a video of the incident, according to Ukrinform.
As noted, two enemy groups advanced simultaneously along different routes: one from the Platonivka area toward Zakitne, and the other from Siversk toward Kryva Luka.
About fifty infantrymen took part in the assault. The invaders also deployed 28 motorcycles, one tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, and five vehicles.
“The number of vehicles could not compensate for the most important factor—the Ukrainian drone operators’ complete control over the battlefield,” the Apachi battalion noted.
The battalion notes that none of the enemy groups managed to reach even the first line of Ukrainian defense.
“This battle demonstrates once again that modern warfare is a war of technology, speed of decision-making, and precise coordination between units. Where the enemy relies on sheer numbers, Ukrainian defenders respond with precision, coordination, and the effective use of drones,” the military emphasizes.
As reported by Ukrinform, on June 16 in the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted to break through the defenses near Zakitne, in the direction of Kryva Luka, Mykolaivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
