Explosion in Dnipropetrovsk region kills police officer, injures three people

In the Pokrovsk rural community of Dnipropetrovsk region, a law enforcement officer was killed in an explosion; his colleague and two civilians were injured.

The regional police reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“A senior police lieutenant was killed this afternoon while on duty as a result of an explosion near a private residence in the Pokrovsk rural community of the Nikopol district,” the statement said.

It is noted that another police officer and two civilian men were also injured in the explosion. A police vehicle and a private residence were damaged.

It is reported that the deceased community police officer, Bohdan Monakhov, was 27 years old and had served in the police for nearly six years. "He started as a beat officer at the Tomakivka Police Station. In 2025, he passed the competitive exam for the position of community police officer," the police reported.

As reported, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as of the morning of June 1, four people were injured as a result of Russian strikes.
