Partisans set fire to locomotive transporting oil cargo in St. Petersburg
According to Ukrinform, ATESH reported this on Telegram.
"Agents of our movement carried out a successful operation in Saint Petersburg — by setting fire to a locomotive involved in transporting oil cargo and supporting supply chains for the region's industrial and energy infrastructure," the statement said.
The partisans noted that northwestern logistics are operating under constant pressure and that railway infrastructure is overloaded. Any disruption at key junctions causes delays in fuel and raw material deliveries. Industrial enterprises in the region are directly dependent on these supply chains, especially given the proximity of Ust-Luga, one of Russia's key oil and petroleum export hubs.
"Any disruption in the transport system immediately affects the entire sector: factories receive fewer raw materials, ports receive fewer cargo shipments, and regional supplies begin to falter," the partisans emphasized.
As Ukrinform previously reported, ATESH agents disrupted the operation of several communication towers in the areas of Putilkovo, Kommunarka, and Domodedovo in Russia's Moscow region.
