Russian Forces prepare for new offensive operations on several fronts, says Tregubov
According to Ukrinform, Victor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Task Force, announced this on television.
“As of now, we are observing active attempts by the Russians to regroup and prepare offensives on a number of our sectors, such as the Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk, unofficial Borova, and several others,” Tregubov said.
He observed that while no particularly intense activity is currently being recorded, specific areas, especially in the Sumy region, show increased enemy activity. He indicated that Russian troops are trying to rebuild their offensive capabilities and may escalate their actions in the near future.
Tregubov added that Russian troops have two main objectives in this area: control of the Lyman sector and the creation of a so-called “control zone” along the state border.
As reported, fighters from the 3rd Spartan Operational Brigade of Ukraine's National Guard, together with neighboring units, repelled an enemy assault in the Pokrovsk sector and eliminated a Russian company within 48 hours.
