About 7,000 civilians left Donetsk region in month - RMA
This figure was announced on television by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, according to Ukrinform.
“In just one month, about 7,000 people have left Donetsk region. And I thank them for leaving and protecting themselves and their loved ones. We are doing everything we can. And I thank the regions that are taking them in,” said the head of the region.
He added that over the past 10 days, thanks to the White Angels police unit and the Phoenix State Emergency Service, 53 people and 11 children have been evacuated from cities close to the front line.
According to Filashkin, there are currently 190,000 people in the areas of Donetsk region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, 12,000 of whom are children.
As reported by Ukrinform, nearly 700 children remain in the forced evacuation zone in Donetsk region.
