Russian troops shell civilians, leaving one injured, in Sumy region

In the Sumy region, Russian forces deliberately attacked civilians, injuring a 54-year-old man.

According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov reported this on Telegram.

"In the new year, Russians continue their tactic of waging war by attacking civilians in the communities of Sumy region. They deliberately strike people, vehicles, and homes. Today, Russians attacked the Putyvl community with drones. A 54-year-old civilian man was wounded. He is receiving the necessary medical care. Residential and household buildings were also damaged," he said.

He also reported that today, January 4, in the Stetskivka district, a Russian drone deliberately attacked a civilian car in the yard of a private household, damaging the vehicle and the property. No people were injured.

As Ukrinform previously reported, a Russian attack drone strike on civilian infrastructure was recorded in the Sumy region.

Russian forces carried out nearly 60 shelling attacks on 24 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the Sumy region.
