Car plunges off bridge in Mykolaiv region, five children among injured
The Mykolaiv regional police announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:50 on May 31 in the village of Voronivka, located in the Voznesensk district. Police said a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, allegedly driven by a 19-year-old man, lost control, left the bridge, and plunged into the water.
As a result of the crash, six passengers were taken to a medical facility for examination. The injured include five children aged 9, 11, 12, and 15, as well as a 40-year-old man. The suspected driver also sustained injuries of varying severity.

Law enforcement officers are currently working to establish all circumstances and causes of the accident.
Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which covers violations of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation regulations resulting in injuries. The offense carries a penalty of up to three years of restricted freedom.
Police noted that the legal qualification of the case may be revised as the investigation continues.
