Drones attack synthetic rubber plant in Russia's Tula region – media

On the night of December 24, residents of Yefremov in Tula region reported explosions and a fire at the Yefremov Synthetic Rubber Plant.
Later, the governor confirmed that a fire broke out "at one of the enterprises in the region," the fire was extinguished, and there were no casualties. Witnesses recorded the fire on video.
ASTRA geolocated the footage and confirmed that the flames were indeed visible in the area of the plant.
The Yefremov Synthetic Rubber Plant has been operating since 1933 as one of the first producers of synthetic rubber in the USSR. Today, the enterprise is the sole producer of high-molecular and low-molecular polyisobutylene, which has unique properties and is used in various industrial sectors.
Synthetic rubber and polyisobutylene are materials included in many defense-related products.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on the night of Tuesday, December 23, drones again struck the Stavrolen chemical plant in Budyonnovsk, located 200 km from Stavropol, Russia.
