Ukrainian forces advance up to 1.6 kilometers in Pokrovsk district – CinC Syrskyi
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi said this in a Facebook post seen by Ukrinform.
According to him, "despite the enemy's unsuccessful attempts to advance in several sectors, our troops carried out search and destruction operations across 3.4 square kilometers of the Pokrovsk district in the Donetsk region over the past day."
Assault units advanced up to 1.6 kilometers in some areas, Syrskyi added.
He expressed gratitude to all Ukrainian defenders for destroying the enemy and praised the service members of the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 253rd Battalion.
During the Dobropillia operation, as of 06:00 on October 13, Ukrainian forces had liberated 182.4 square kilometers from Russian occupation and cleared an additional 224.7 square kilometers of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
