Bad weather reduces Russian drone strikes in South – Voloshyn

Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn reported this in a comment to Ukrinform.

“The deterioration of weather conditions in the south has affected combat operations. The enemy used 15–20% fewer drones yesterday, and this concerns only kamikaze drones — over 500 were recorded, whereas recently we have been observing 700–800 drone strikes,” Voloshyn emphasized.

He also noted that Russian invaders have been using drones less frequently for dropping munitions, and their aviation activity has decreased.

At the same time, the intensity of enemy artillery fire has increased.

“The number of artillery strikes has risen by 10–15%, with nearly 250 shelling incidents recorded yesterday — 10% more than usual. The enemy used 15% more munitions in these strikes, totaling almost 1,150 shells,” he explained.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 1, 158 clashes between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian occupiers were recorded on the front line.
