HUR naval drones strike oil facilities in Novorossiysk, Tuapse – source
HUR sources told Ukrinform about the operation.
As a result, the operation disrupted the functioning of Transneft's oil terminal and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal near Novorossiysk, where Russia had been loading tankers, including vessels from its shadow fleet. Together, these facilities are capable of exporting up to two million barrels of crude oil per day.
HUR naval drones also hit an oil pier at one of the largest terminals in Tuapse port.
The attack on Russia's oil export infrastructure — which fuels its war against Ukraine — "once again highlighted the incompetence of the Russian military group assigned to guard Black Sea ports."
"The chaotic and inaccurate fire of the Russian military caused destruction of residential buildings, destroyed several civilian cars, and spread panic among residents of Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and even Sochi, located dozens of kilometers from the attack site, where an emergency evacuation was announced at the beaches," HUR said.
