Russian army strikes Sumy region 68 times in 24 hours

Between the morning of September 17 and the morning of September 18, Russian troops struck 29 settlements in 13 communities in the Sumy region 68 times.

According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Facebook.

Most of the strikes were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The Russians carried out about 20 strikes with guided aerial bombs and 10 strikes with unguided aerial missiles, carried out 10 VOG explosive drops from UAVs, and more than 10 strikes with drones.

The enemy also attacked the Sumy region with FPV drones and fired from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Vorozhba community, non-residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged.

In the Seredyna-Buda community, two private houses were damaged.

Four people were evacuated from the border communities of the Sumy region during the day.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russian offensive on Sumy had failed thanks to the Defense Forces. The Russian group in the Sumy sector lost its offensive capabilities.
