War update: 85 clashes on front lines since midnight, most intense fighting on Pokrovsk axis
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Russian cross-border artillery shelling targeted Liskivshchyna in the Chernihiv region, as well as Simeikyne, Bila Bereza, and Bobylivka in the Sumy region.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, Russian forces attempted five offensive operations.
Russian aircraft carried out one airstrike, dropping two guided bombs. In addition, the enemy conducted 74 shelling attacks, including two with multiple rocket launchers.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian assaults near Vovchansk and Lyptsi. On the Kupiansk axis, the Russians attacked five times toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane, with two engagements still ongoing.
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian units repelled three attacks toward Shyikivka, Shandryholove, and near Kolodiazi, with two more assaults still underway.
On the Siversk axis, Ukrainian troops repelled eight enemy attacks, as Russian forces attempted to advance near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and toward Vyimka, Yampil, and Dronivka. Three engagements are continuing.
On the Kramatorsk axis, one combat clash took place near Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
On the Toretsk axis, Russian troops assaulted Ukrainian positions 11 times in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, Poltavka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Ivanopillia and Pleshchiivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks, with two clashes still ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Russian forces carried out 36 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Volodymyrivka, Vilne, Shakhove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and Novoukrainka. Ukrainian troops have already repelled 29 of these assaults.
On the Novopavlivka axis, Russian invaders launched nine assaults on Ukrainian positions near Filiia, Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Maliivka, and Novoivanivka, with four clashes still underway.
On the Huliaipole axis, no combat engagements were recorded. The enemy launched airstrikes near Bilohiria and Zaliznychne.
On the Orikhiv axis, Russian forces carried out an airstrike near Hryhorivka but did not attempt ground assaults.
On the Dnipro River axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks. Enemy aircraft struck Odradokamianka with unguided rockets.
