Russian occupation forces on the Dnipro front are attempting to land on several islands in the river delta. Today, in particular, they tried to land on Kruhlyk Island and establish a foothold.

Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"The enemy is trying to land on several islands in the Dnipro delta, but has had no success. Today, for example, they attempted to land on Kruhlyk Island and secure a position, but suffered losses and achieved nothing," Voloshyn said.

According to him, the Russians also continue fruitless assaults near the Antonivsky railway and road bridges. For weeks, they have failed to advance on this axis, losing dozens of troops in daily assaults.

"Overall, the enemy is resorting to information manipulation on the islands: when they fail to capture Ukrainian positions, they spread fake reports claiming success. Last week, Russian soldiers taken prisoner admitted they had been ordered to reach a specific point, raise their hands, and pose for their drone to stage a so-called 'capture.' One had no weapon, only ammunition and supplies; the other carried a rifle," he said.

Voloshyn stressed that their commanders gave them no plan for withdrawal or evacuation. He noted that the island area remains under Ukrainian control, while Russian forces attempt to maintain logistics for their assault groups, which they occasionally deploy in the sector.

"They use drones to drop supplies and try to set up small ferry crossings across Dnipro channels, but we detect and destroy these efforts. The enemy has no success in the island zone or on the Dnipro front in general," he said.

At the same time, the spokesperson noted that Russia is actively using loitering munitions and launching airstrikes on the right (west) bank. The heaviest attacks, often involving dozens of unguided rockets, target settlements near the former Kakhovka dam.

"Today the enemy struck the village of Mykolaivka with 40 unguided rockets. Other settlements, including Olhivka and Odradokamianka, are also hit almost daily by significant airstrikes," he added.
