According to him, five people were hospitalized as a result of the shelling. Four of them are State Emergency Service workers who were responding to a fire after one of the enterprises was hit. The Russians struck the site again, injuring four firefighters.
A 59-year-old resident of a village in the Nizhyn district was also wounded and hospitalized in Chernihiv Regional Hospital. A residential house was damaged.
Chaus noted that in the Nizhyn district, critical infrastructure and businesses were targeted by the enemy. In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, the shelling caused fires in outbuildings.
In several districts, Russian attacks ignited dry grass across an area of nearly ten hectares. The fires have been extinguished.
