Chaus says number of air attacks increases in Chernihiv region

The number of Russian air strikes and the intensity of shelling have increased in the Chernihiv region.

This was reported on television by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, according to Ukrinform.

“The intensity of shelling is increasing. The number of air attacks has increased, most of them involving Shahed and FPV drones,” Chaus said.

He noted that over the past day alone, Chernihiv region had been shelled 37 times. There were 52 explosions in 21 settlements. Four districts of the region were targeted by Russian invaders.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, yesterday, September 11, a drone, presumably a Geran, flew over the territory of one of the enterprises in Chernihiv, partially damaging the buildings.

In the Nizhyn and Koryukivka districts, a drone attack in the forest caused a fire covering an area of more than 1 hectare. The fire was localized.

An FPV drone strike in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district caused a fire in an uninhabited building.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops attacked the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University for the third time.
