Enemy conducts rotation near Chasiv Yar, redeploying troops from Kherson region – Defense Forces
Colonel Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the Operational Tactical Group Luhansk, reported this on television, Ukrinform states.
"Currently, no activity in Chasiv Yar would indicate the enemy is attempting to fully control this settlement. Right now, the enemy is conducting rotation activities there. Instead of the 98th, the enemy is deploying its 70th brigade there to carry out assault operations in the future. However, according to intelligence, the 70th brigade was previously engaged in the Kherson sector, where different methods of assault were used. If the enemy proceeds with this replacement, we will observe how it operates in new conditions, since the assault tactics here differ. There is no water barrier, and the enemy will be forced to conduct assaults with manpower against our infantry and UAV units," the spokesperson said.
How the situation around Chasiv Yar develops will become clear in two weeks after the enemy completes its rotation there, Zaporozhets added.
As reported, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Forces, said that in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, Russian troops control only the western part of the city.
