69 clashes on frontline, fighting continues in six sectors

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted an update as of 16:00 on Tuesday, September 9, on Facebook.

Today, the Russians shelled Novovasylivka, Nova Huta, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Bobylivka, Bila Bereza, Malushyne, and Hirky in the Sumy region, as well as Zaliznyi Mist in the Chernihiv region with mortars and artillery.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks, with another clash still ongoing. The Russian army has already used eight guided aerial bombs in these areas of the front and fired 126 times at the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas, including two times with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the invaders attacked three times in the Vovchansk area.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled four Russian attacks carried out in the Stepova Novoselivka area, toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army carried out seven attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Serednie, Kolodiazi, and Torske today; one battle continues.

In the Siversk sector, Russian troops have attempted ten times to advance on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Serebrianka and Hryhorivka, toward Vyimka. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russians carried out two offensive operations in the Stupochky area.

In the Toretsk sector, the invaders attempted six times to break through the defense lines in the areas of Katerynivka, Yablunivka, and Poltavka, toward Oleksandro-Shultyne and Pleshchiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has made 35 attempts to advance in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Zapovidne, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, toward Rodynske, Promin, and Pokrovsk. The defenders are holding back the offensive: 27 enemy attacks have already been repelled.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped four assaults by Russian troops. Seven more clashes are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Maliivka, Komyshuvakha, and Olhivka, toward Filiia and Novoivanivka.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, the Russians have not yet carried out any offensive actions today.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian troops launched an air strike on the Olhivka area.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the Novopavlivka sector, the Russians carried out a record number of attacks yesterday.
