Three injured in Sumy region by Russian strikes in one day, including two rescuers

Three people were injured in the Sumy region during the day as a result of Russian aggression, two of them were rescuers.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“In the village of Mykolaivska, a 69-year-old man was wounded as a result of an enemy UAV attack. The drone hit the territory of a private household,” Hryhorov said.

According to him, the victim, who suffered multiple injuries, underwent surgery. He is under medical supervision.

“In the Bilopilia community, rescuers who arrived at the scene to deal with the consequences of the enemy attack were hit by a strike UAV,” Hryhorov said.

He specified that the victims were 33-year-old and 28-year-old employees of the State Emergency Service. They were hospitalized. Doctors are conducting examinations and providing assistance.

As reported on the SES Facebook page, “today in Sumy region, the enemy cynically attacked those who save lives.”

On September 8, in the afternoon, Russian invaders struck the residential sector of the Bilopilia community. When rescuers arrived at the scene to survey the area, the Russians repeatedly and deliberately attacked them.

Two State Emergency Service employees were injured. In addition, a fire truck was damaged.

“As soon as the rescuers moved away from the scene, the enemy struck the same location again,” the State Emergency Service said.

As reported by Ukrinform, on September 8, Russian invaders launched a drone strike on the village of Ulianivka in the Mykolaiv settlement community in the Sumy region.
